Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centre is situated in Nurmes, in North-Karelia region in East Finland. Nurmes, “the town of birch trees”, is a small, beautiful town by Lake Pielinen. Nurmes is best known for Bomba Resort, but also for its unspoiled nature. The characters of the local environment include numerous lakes and pine forests, providing excellent and versatile opportunities for leisure activities. For instance, the outdoor activities such as hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing, canoeing, golf and tennis are enjoyed by our visitors.

 

Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centre has gorgeous lakeside location, just next to the Bomba Resort. The accommodation possibilities at Hyvärilä include a hotel, holiday apartments, two youth hostels, 26 cottages and camping site with caravan and tent pockets. (Camping open 15.5.-15.9, out of season there are winter camping places).

 

Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centres main building is Kartanohotelli, where the Reception and Café-Restaurant are situated.

 

Kartanohotelli and Youth Hostel are suitable for the disabled. All our buildings and rooms are non-smoking facilities.

 

Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centre offer accommodation and diverse facilities for successful holidays, meetings, courses, special events, workshops, and camps.

There are many excellent opportunities for leisure activities in Hyvärilä.

Beach volley, Swimming beach, Golf course (9 holes)

Hiking path/skiing track to Ellunkallio (beautiful rocky hill by Lake Pielinen), about 15 km ,

Play room for children, Canoes, Traditional Finnish “church boat”, Rowing boats, Possibility for different kinds of games, such as football, tennis and basketball,

Badminton, Table tennis, Bouldering wall (indoor), Air rifle shooting track, Freestyle jump,  Skating ramp, Winter activities etc !           

 

Several different kind of meeting/hobby rooms for 10-126 persons.

Kartanohotelli Hotel:

Meeting rooms are equipped with overhead-projector and flap board. There is a possibility to borrow a slide projector, TV and video, data projector etc.
