Safety

Outward Bound Finland ry's most important element in the implementation of courses is the safety of course participants and instructors. Activities in favor of educational goals cannot be carried out unless it can be done safely.

Insurance
​
For trips abroad, you need travel insurance that covers cases of illness during the trip. We also recommend that you check the coverage of cancellation insurance in your insurance for domestic trainings as well. Remember to also check the validity of your passport when traveling abroad. Outward Bound Finland ry has liability insurance.

Participation and cancellation conditions

If the cancellation occurs 30 days before the course, the organizer will charge 50% of the participation fee. If the cancellation occurs two weeks before the course or closer, the organizer will charge the full participation fee.

By paying the course reservation fee, you confirm your place on the course. Every open training we organize has a minimum group size that must be met in order for the training or trip to be organized. The course takes place when the minimum group size is full. You can check the minimum group size in the course description.

The course participant has the right to cancel the course due to force majeure. The obstacle to departure must be proven with a reliable report, such as a medical certificate, police investigation report or a statement from the insurance company. The course participant has the right to cancel the course and get back the price paid for the trip minus the reservation fee. For free courses, we charge a €50 office fee if the cancellation takes place a week before the course.
