Adventure Expedition 2012 - Nordkapp, Norway

The course is guided sea kayaking expedition. The aim for the course is to paddle around the Island of Magerøya. In northern part of Magerøya is world famous Nordkapp. This expedition is demanding and therefore it is not suitable for the first sea kayak expedition. Even the course is challenging you don’t need to be an expert on open water paddling. The longest paddling day will be 45km, one of the day will be 35km and rest of the days around 25km.

Arctic Ocean is known to be huge and the water freezing cold! Very typical for this area are big swells even there would not be any wind at all. But when it is windy, the swell can be several meters plus there will be some breaking waves too. On top of the swells and waves tides and the different kind of tidal phenomenon are making the paddling very interesting.
